During World Book Week 2016 I will be working exclusively with Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire.
Here is the information you will need to take part.
Superheroes to be held during world book week – 29th Feb – 4th March at various Aviation Heritage Sites:
29 Feb (TBC) – Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirkby. Workshops last half a day but schools are invited to stay after/come before their workshop and look around the site too
1st March – Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre – just taken delivery of a Dakota which was originally based there during WW2 and was used to rescue injured troops and take them to Nocton Hall Hospital to recover. Not sure how far they will have got with it but they are hoping to turn the fuselage into a classroom so the children may be able to board the plane! Winston Churchill flew in this actual aircraft and when they were putting it back together at Metheringham they found cigar stubs under the floor!!
2nd March – RAF Scampton
3rd and 4th March – RAF Waddington
Schools will be able to reclaim 50% of their transport costs, up to a maximum of £100, for this (details on our website www.aviationheritagelincolnshire.com) and there will be no charge for the workshops.

The Thirteenth Series Youngest Reader Fearne – age 7 – December 2014
It is with great pleasure that I can introduce you to Fearne – she is the youngest Thirteenth Series reader EVER!
After meeting her at Boston Library on Saturday, Fearne took book 1 The Thirteenth home, and read it in just 3 days!!!
She’s now going to read the whole series, which make me extremely happy. Her teachers should be very proud of her reading skills.
So, thanks Kate (aka Fearne’s mum) for bringing her in, and I look forward to her comment on the rest of the books.
